GOLF
For the avid golfer or even a beginner there are countless options for a game, ranging from 9 to 18 holes and driving ranges all located in picturesque surroundings. Traralgon, Moe and Morwell Golf Courses are the closest to our park.
FISHING
There is the Lake Strezlecki Fishing Resort designed for the avid fly fisherman (it is a catch and release privately owned area), the lake is fully stocked with Rainbow and Brown Trout and Bass and Silver Perch.
MINES / HISTORY / POWER STATION
There is the Long Tunnel Extended Gold Mine in Walhalla which was in operation between 1865 and 1911. There are tours through the old mine and Machinery Chamber. There is also the Old Brown Coal Mine Museum in Yallourn North, see photos, machinery and memorabilia relating to the operation of this old coal mine. There is also tours of the power station at Yallourn for those who are
interested in how our electricity gets to our homes.
4WD / SKY DIVING / FLYING
Aerial Skydiving operates from the airfield located opposite the park. They do tandem skydives, skydiving displays and teach and
co-ordinate dives for everyone from the beginners amongst us to the more experienced. Or spoil yourself with an aerobatic adventure in the legendary Pitts Special Biplane with AV8 and travel at speeds up to 300kms per hour. Or for the 4wd enthusiasts amongst us there are plenty of 4wd tracks both easy and hard scattered throughout the many National Parks in our Region, there are also specialist 4wd tour guides available.
There are also many nature walks throughout the region such as the Tarra Bulga National Park . There is snow found at Mt Baw Baw and Mt St Gwinear in winter. There are the beautiful rainforests and water lagoons found at Wilsons Promontory. There is a range of water sport activities available at either Lake Narracan or Hazelwood Pondage - ranging from jetskiiing, water skiiing, yachting and canoeing.
If shopping takes your fancy there are numerous shopping centres in the larger towns and boutique and art and craft shopping available as well in the smaller towns. There are also many local markets to visit.
